Why students pick Zelume
One tool instead of two
Huntr tracks applications well but doesn't build resumes; you end up using Huntr + Resume.io + ChatGPT to do the work Zelume does in one place. Less context-switching, less to pay for, fewer places your data lives.
ATS scoring against real parsers
Zelume scores resumes against the actual parsing rules from Workday, Greenhouse, and Lever, the three ATSes responsible for most student rejections. Huntr doesn't score against parsers; it gives you a generic match-rate against the JD's keywords.
Student pricing + Interview Pass
Verified .edu users get Pro features for $4.99/mo, vs Huntr's flat $15+ Pro tier. For crunch periods, the 14-day Interview Pass ($4.99 once, no subscription) covers the two weeks before an onsite without committing to a monthly plan.

Frequently asked
Why pick Zelume over Huntr if Huntr has more users?
Huntr is older and bigger, but it focuses almost entirely on the tracking side. If you only need a kanban for applications, Huntr's free tier is fine. If you want one tool for save + tailor + score + track, Zelume bundles the resume-side workflow that Huntr leaves to other apps.
Can I import my Huntr data?
Huntr exports applications as CSV from the dashboard. Paste the URL list into Zelume's bulk import and we'll re-parse each posting using the Chrome extension's extractors. Notes and follow-up dates need to be copied manually for now; the bulk path is on the roadmap.
Does Zelume work on the same job sites as Huntr?
Yes. Zelume's extension supports LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS, SmartRecruiters, BambooHR, and Jobvite, overlapping with Huntr's coverage. Both use one-click capture from the job page.
Is the free tier actually free, or is there a credit-card catch?
No card to start. Unlimited resume versions with every template, 20 AI generations per day, the full application tracker on 50 saved jobs, the Chrome extension, ATS scoring, kanban board. No auto-upgrade. Students sending a normal volume of applications stay on Free for the first month.
Will my resumes work in other tools if I move on?
Yes. Every resume, application, and cover letter is exportable: PDF for documents, CSV for the tracker, JSON for raw data. No lock-in.
